EkoCardia performs comprehensive adult transthoracic echocardiograms using a state-of-the-art GE Vivid E95 ultrasound system. Each examination includes advanced 2D imaging, color and spectral Doppler, 3D acquisition and myocardial strain analysis when clinically appropriate. Studies are interpreted by U.S.-based, board-certified cardiologists with advanced cardiac-imaging expertise.
Same-week appointments are generally available. Urgent requests may be accommodated on a case-by-case basis. After we receive the completed order, our team will contact the patient directly to coordinate scheduling. For an urgent request, please call (801) 203-3302 after submitting the form.
How to Refer a Patient
You may refer a patient to EkoCardia in either of the following ways:
- Send the order directly to EkoCardia: download and complete our Provider Referral / Order Form, then fax it to (801) 907-7557, or email it to us.
Please use your organization’s HIPAA-compliant procedures when transmitting protected health information.
- Have the patient schedule directly: You may provide the completed order to the patient and ask them to visit EkoCardia to self-schedule their appointment. The patient may upload the order during the scheduling process or bring a copy with them to their appointment.
Pricing and Payment options:
EkoCardia is a transparent self-pay service and does not bill insurance. The current price for a complete adult transthoracic echocardiogram is $449. HSA and FSA payments are accepted.
Upon request, EkoCardia can also provide a superbill that patients may submit to their insurance carrier for possible out-of-network reimbursement. Reimbursement is determined by the patient’s individual insurance plan and is not guaranteed.
Reports and Image Sharing
The final cardiologist report will be returned to the ordering provider or designated facility by fax or secure email. Access to the complete echocardiographic image set can be provided upon request. For participating facilities, DICOM images may also be shared through PowerShare to support continuity of care and comparison with prior or future studies.
